Buy the Everyday Pinafore sewing pattern from Stitched in Wonderland. The Everyday Pinafore is a relaxed fit, versatile dress designed to be worn over a T-shirt or other base layer. The pinafore is cut in an A-line shape and has two length options and two pocket styles that can be mixed and matched. It can be made in a wide range of fabrics and will quickly become a wardrobe staple.

View A is midi length with hidden pockets in the side seams. View B is mini length with patch pockets.

Suggested fabrics: Medium to heavy weight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, denim, corduroy, linen or wool.

Fabric requirements: These requirements are based on using shop bought bias binding. If you wish to make your own bias binding, you will need approx. 50 cm (1/2 yd) more fabric. But depending on the cutting layout, you may have enough left over between pattern pieces. You can use less fabric by piecing your bias binding. Instructions are included for how to do this.

Midi length (View A): 115 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1.5 – 2.4 m (1 5/8 – 2 5/8 yd) // 135 cm (54″) wide fabric: 1.2 – 2 m (1 1/4 – 2 1/8 yd) // 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1.2 – 1.9 m (1 1/4 – 2 1/8 yd).

Mini length (View B): 115 cm (44″) wide fabric: 1.4 – 2.3 m (1 1/2 – 2 1/2 yd) // 135 cm (54″) wide fabric: 1 – 1.9 m (1 1/8 – 2 yd) // 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 1 – 1.8 m (1 1/8 – 2 yd).

Sizing: A – K (approx. UK 6 – 24/26). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 17″ regular zip (an invisible zip can be used if preferred); 1.5 cm (1/2″) wide bias binding, 2.4 – 2.9 m (2 3/4 – 3 1/4 yd) (bought, or instructions included to make your own).
