Buy the Dalloway Dress and Skirt sewing pattern from Jennifer Lauren Handmade. With the Dalloway Dress and Skirt in your wardrobe, you’ll be ready to host your own party at a moment’s notice. Five horizontal pleats run the length of the skirt creating the illusion of a tiered peplum while adding body and detail. Small soft pleats then gently shape the skirt around the waist and hips, giving the impression of a fitted pencil skirt with all the comfort of being able to eat your way through Sunday lunch.

The dress is constructed with a fully lined and enclosed bodice to hide away raw edges. The skirt underlining can also act as a lining, leaving you free to wear it without a slip when cold weather strikes. Both versions are finished with a lapped zip.

Suggested fabrics: Dalloway is best made up in a fabric that can hold a crease. Look for light to medium weight fabrics with some drape, such as cotton lawn and voile, rayons and very light denims or chambray. Stay away from heavy and stiff fabrics. The bodice can be lined in the shell fabric; light nylon or silk lining fabric is recommended for the skirt underlining.

Fabric requirements: Extra may be required to match stripes/plaids or other patterned fabrics. Some directional prints may not be suitable in fabrics with a width of 115 cm (45″) due to the way the pattern needs to be positioned on the fabric.
