– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

Suggested fabrics:

Bodice, Sleeves, Pockets, and View C Belt: Medium weight knit fabrics with at least 20% stretch. Sweater knit, interlock, french terry, ponte de roma, and sweatshirt fleece are recommended. View C and maxi length look best sewn in fabrics with some drape.

Neckband, Hemband, and Cuffs: Ribbing or a stable knit fabric with at least 50% stretch. You may use knit fabric with less stretch for the cuffs and hemband, like your bodice and sleeve fabric, with no changes to the pattern. You may also use a less stretchy fabric for your neckband, but you will need to add length so that it will fit the neck opening.

Elbow Patch: Leather, pleather, or high quality wool or wool blend felt.

Fabric requirements:

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 7/8 – 1 1/4 yd (0.8 – 1.15 m) // View B, 7/8 – 1 1/8 yd (0.8 – 1 m) // View C, 1 1/8 – 1 1/2 yd (1 – 1.4 m).

45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: View A, 7/8 – 1 1/2 yd (0.8 – 1.4 m) // View B, 7/8 – 1 1/8 yd (0.8 – 1 m) // View C, 1 1/8 – 2 yd (1 – 1.8 m).

Ribbing: Views A and B, 1/4 yd/m for all sizes // View C, 1/8 yd/m for all sizes.

Sizing: 2 – 11/12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Three to eight 5/8″ buttons, depending on view choice and size; clear elastic to reinforce shoulder seams (maximum 12″ for any size); 1/8 yd of mid-weight fusible interfacing for button placket; ball point needle; leather needle if adding leather elbow patch // Optional: Additional lightweight interfacing for View C belt and pockets if fabric is thin.

Note: A serger/overlocker is optional but highly recommended. This pattern was designed around finishing seams with an overlocking stitch on a serger. It creates a cleaner finish, especially at the neckline.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (16 pages). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need. Does not include an A0 copy shop file.
