Buy the Carrie Trousers sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Inspired by the effortless summer wardrobe of Carrie Bradshaw, the Carrie Trousers are perfect everyday trousers. Floaty and cool, they’re great with flats for a day at the beach or a stroll through the park, though they work just as well dressed up with heels for an evening out.

The Carrie Trousers are loose-fitting through the leg, slightly tapering towards the ankle. With no need for any tricky closures, they have a flat-front, elastic-back waistband with pretty pleats at the front. Practical and ideal for summer, the Carrie Trousers are mid-rise and feature ever-useful slanted pockets at the side seams. Easy to fit, they are a great starting point for newbie trouser sewers who want to get to grips with construction.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabric with lots of drape such as rayon, viscose and crepe. Alternatively you could use a lightweight linen or cotton lawn.

1.15 m wide fabric: 2.8 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.0 – 2.6 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

1.15 m wide fabric (sizes 18 – 24 only): 2.8 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.5 – 2.8 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 2″ wide elastic; interfacing.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (32 pages for sizes 6-20, 33 pages for sizes 18-30); US letter print-at-home pattern (28 pages for sizes 6-20, 33 pages for sizes 18-30); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets for sizes 6-20, 2 sheets for sizes 18-30).
