Buy the Child/Baby Book Report Dress sewing pattern from Oliver + S. This comfortable, casual dress includes lots of fun details: hidden on-seam front pockets, shirttail hem, buttons at the shoulders, pleat detail at the front neck, a back yoke with pleat for extra ease, and simple shirt-sleeve cuffs. This is a great style for colour-blocking, and it can also be worn with leggings for a tunic look.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics like quilting cotton, shirting, poplin, broadcloth, and linen. May also be suitable for some stable knits.

6 months – 4 years: Fabric A, 1 yard (0.9 m) // Fabric B, 1 yard (0.9 m).

5 – 12 years: Fabric A, 1 – 1 1/2 yards (0.9 – 1.4 m) // Fabric B, 1 yard (0.9 m).

Sizing: 6 months – 4 years and 5 – 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
