Buy the Belize Shorts and Skort sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. Whether you are enjoying the great outdoors or lounging in the house this summer, you don’t want to be without the Belize Shorts and Skort pattern. With one pattern, you can create five different styles of shorts and skorts. They all feature a relaxed fit, elastic waist and medium length in-seam. That’s right: no zipper and no buttons! They are a breeze to sew and leave you with enough time to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine.

View A: Pleated-front shorts with front pockets

Suggested fabrics: Use lightweight denim, linen, poplin, twill, crepe and gabardine silk dupioni, or other medium-weight woven fabric with or without stretch. Use slightly lighter weight fabric for views D and E. For lining, use lightweight woven fabric, such as twill, broadcloth or quilting cotton.

Fabric requirements: 135 cm (54”) wide fabric: Views A and B, 0.8 – 1.1 m (7/8 – 1 1/4 yd) / View C, 0.7 – 1.1 m (3/4 – 1 1/4 yd) / View D, 1.1 – 1.6 m (1 1/4 – 1 3/4 yd) / View E, 1.3 – 2.1 m (1 1/2 – 2 1/4 yd) // 115 cm (45”) wide fabric (sizes 00 – 12 only): View A, 1 m (1 1/8 yd) / View B, 0.9 – 1 m (1 – 1 1/8 yd) / View C, 1 m (1 1/8 yd) / View D, 1.3 – 1.5 m (1 1/2 – 1 5/8 yd) / View E, 1.7 – 2 m (1 7/8 – 2 1/4 yd) // Lining: 0.3 m (3/8 yd) for Views A, B, D and E.

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Lightweight woven or weft-insertion interfacing; 3 cm (1 1/4”) wide elastic up to 59 cm (23 1/4”); 41 cm (16”) of 1 cm (3/8”) wide bias fusible stay tape (or cut your own using lightweight interfacing; be sure to cut it on the bias).

PDF pattern includes: Digital pattern compatible with both US letter and A4 paper sizes; A0 (copy shop) file; step-by-step illustrated instructions. The print-at-home pattern is a layered PDF, so you can select your size before printing.
