Waves & Wild Baby/Child Speedy Pants (free)

The Baby/Child Speedy Pants is a free sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. This pattern includes two styles of children’s underwear: boxers and briefs. Both styles are modest and comfortable for children of all ages and are very quick to make (hence the name). They are beginner friendly and perfect for using up scraps and offcuts from larger projects. An overlocker/serger will create a neater, more professional finish, but instructions are also included for using a regular sewing machine.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light/medium weight 4 way stretch knit fabric with a minimum of 50% stretch. Cotton/Lycra jersey is ideal. Good stretch and return is especially important for the waistband.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 40 cm (3/8 yd). If you are making a smaller size you will likely be able to make more than one pair from this amount.

Sizing: 6-12 months – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (7 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
