Waves & Wild Child Lightning Leggings (free)

The Baby/Child Lightning Leggings is a free sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. This is a quick-sew unisex leggings pattern with all the options! There are separate pattern pieces for cloth nappy wearers and for those in undies/disposable nappies. You can also choose between a relaxed option and a traditional slim fit option. Additionally, there are options for an elasticated or cuffed waist, hemmed or cuffed legs and three different lengths (ankle, capri and knee).

This sewing pattern is available in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light/medium weight 4 way stretch knit fabric with a minimum of 50% stretch. Cotton/Lycra jersey is ideal. Good stretch and return is especially important for the waistband.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Knee length, 30 – 70 cm (1/4 – 3/4 yd) // Capri, 40 – 90 cm (1/2 – 1 yd) // Full length, 40 – 120 cm (1/2 – 1 3/8 yd).

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Elastic for elasticated waist option, 20 mm (3/4″) wide for up to 6-12 months or 25 mm (1″) wide for age 1 and up.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (32 pages for main pattern, 6 pages for cuffs); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
