Buy the Baby/Child Emi T-shirt and Dress sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. The Emi is a wonderfully versatile t-shirt and dress pattern. There are options for a t-shirt, peplum t-shirt or dress with a circle skirt. You can have long or short sleeves with cuffs, or an all-in-one sleeve. The dress can have in-seam pockets.

The Emi is the sister pattern to the Eclipse T-shirt and Dress, so the sleeves and skirts of the two patterns can be mixed-and-matched, creating a huge number of different designs from just two patterns! The Emi skirt can also be combined with the free Lunar T-shirt and Amber Singlet patterns to create even more options.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics:

Main fabric: Light/medium weight stretch (knit) fabric with a minimum of 50% stretch (ideally the stretch should be 4 way, but 2 way is acceptable). Cotton/Lycra jersey is ideal. This can be used for the main garment and all cuffs except the neckband.

Neckband and cuff fabric: Cotton/Lycra ribbing is best. Cotton/Lycra jersey can be used but you may need to increase the length of your neckband/cuffs a little to allow for the fact jersey is a more rigid fabric.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: T-shirt, 30 – 100 cm (1/4 – 1 1/8 yd) // Peplum t-shirt, 30 – 110 cm (3/8 – 1 1/4 yd) // Dress, 70 – 170 cm (3/4 – 1 7/8 yd).

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (24 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
