Buy the Audrey Dress sewing pattern from Sew La Di Da Vintage. Ahh, Audrey! A classic strapless dress, with light boning on the bust. Cleverly cut for just the right amount of curve, yet demure enough to wear to any shindig, hooley or soiree, she’s as timeless and elegant as her namesake.

Take her on a Roman holiday in light, crisp cottons in bold colours or floral prints. Or why not experiment with contrasting fabrics for the bodice and skirt? For formal evening events, balls and galas, silks and heavy duchesse satin make Audrey exude understated sophistication, and for real head-turning impact, try adding a lace, organza or embroidered tulle overlay.

If you really don’t fancy boning the bodice, a halterneck strap means you can get away with leaving the boning out (instructions for strap not included). Love the shape, but nervous about the amount of décolletage on show? Audrey also looks particularly fetching teamed with the Miss Maguire Jacket in a sheer material, highlighting her neckline without exposing too much of yours.

Please note: Audrey was originally designed with a full skirt, and the pattern you will receive only includes the full skirt. The straight skirt in the images is a free add-on which can only be downloaded directly from the designer’s website. Note you must already own the Audrey Dress pattern to use the free add-on.
