Buy the Angelia Shorts sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. These flat front shorts with lots of options are an essential for your summer wardrobe. Sitting slightly below the waist, they have a contoured waistband with a button closure and fly front zipper. Three views are included in the pattern.

View A is a streamlined version of the shorts with a 4″ (10 cm) inseam. This view is perfect for someone who is newer to shorts sewing.

View B has a 4 1/2″ (11.5 cm) inseam and all the bells and whistles: belt loops, front patch pockets with angled tab closures, a front coin pocket, back patch pockets with button closures, and cuffs with side tabs.

View C falls below the knee. It features a waist drawstring, leg drawstrings, and front and back patch pockets with button closures.

Suggested fabrics: Bottom weight or medium weight woven fabric with or without stretch, such as twill, poplin, cotton blends, linen and denim. Knit fabric is not suitable.

Fabric requirements:

60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: View A, 3/4 – 1 1/8 yd (70 – 100 cm) // View B, 1 1/8 – 1 3/8 yd (100 – 120 cm) // View C, 1 1/4 – 1 7/8 yd (110 – 170 cm).

44″ (115 cm) wide fabric: View A, 1 – 1 1/2 yd (90 – 140 cm) // View B, 1 1/2 – 1 7/8 yd (130 – 170 cm) // View C, 2 1/8 – 2 3/8 yd (190 – 220 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 6 – 20). Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Light to medium weight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; 7″ (18 cm) or longer zipper // View A:  3/4″ (1.9 cm) button // View B: eight 3/4″ (1.9 cm) buttons // View C: five 3/4″ (1.9 cm) buttons; 5 yd (460 cm) of cording or ribbon.
