Buy the Alida Skirt sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Oh the Scrabble matches you’d win if you could make a compound word from wrap, paperbag, and skirt! Wishful thinking aside, this skirt is sure to score you compliments galore. Alida’s patch pockets and slit at the front look cool and chic. The belt has a fabric covered buckle to boost the paper bag effect at the waist. The designer has made an Alida that ends just below the knee, but of course the length is entirely up to you!

Suggested fabrics: Alida is best suited to more structured fabrics, i.e. not too drapey or light. Cotton twill, leather, denim, corduroy and velvet will all work well.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 205 – 260 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 185 – 245 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Thread; fabric glue; iron-on interfacing, max. 45 cm; 5 buttons (jeans or covered buttons will look great), 1.8 cm diameter // If making the belt: belt buckle, 5 cm wide; belt pin; 5 eyelets, 4 mm diameter; Decovil/leatherette, 5 cm wide, 81 – 148.5 cm.

Note: Seam allowances are included in this pattern. The copy shop file we print for you shows the cutting lines only (not cutting lines and stitching lines) to make it easier to know what size to cut out.
