Buy the Alexa Jumpsuit or Playsuit sewing pattern from Tilly and the Buttons. With modern details and a relaxed fit, you’ll feel as cool as a cucumber in this jumpsuit or playsuit. Alexa has a button-front bodice with a curved V-neckline and subtle forward shoulder seam, and a blousy waist cinched in with an external waist channel and tie. The jumpsuit version has easy fitting peg-style trousers.

Suggested fabrics: Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics with some drape, such as linen, chambray, viscose (rayon), lyocell (Tencel), cotton lawn, double gauze, crepe de chine.

Fabric requirements:

150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Playsuit, 1.8 – 2.1 m (2 – 2 3/8 yd) // Jumpsuit, 2.4 – 3.0 m (2 5/8 – 3 3/8 yd).

115 cm (45″) wide fabric: Playsuit, 2.2 – 2.5 m (2 1/2 – 2 3/4 yd) // Jumpsuit, 3.3 – 3.7 m (3 5/8 – 4 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 24. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Matching thread; 0.6 m (5/8 yd) iron-on interfacing (similar weight to your fabric); four 15 mm (5/8″) buttons // Optional: two 10-15 mm (3/8″-5/8″) buttons for pocket flaps and/or two 10 mm (3/8″) buttons for rolled tab sleeves.
