Vogue Misses’ Wrap Dresses 9251

This is a very well designed and drafted pattern. The instructions are slightly vague, a simple diagram is all you get for each step as a visual aid and you are on your own to figure out seam finishes. Definitely geared more toward someone who has sewn a few garments before. Especially if made with rayon, you’ll want to have a little experience under your belt.

The bodice lines are lovely and the wrap skirt is generous enough to stave off concerns of flashing. The wrap top and neckline are finished with bias binding which I think is a clean, solid finish. The inseam pockets are generous (yay!)

For my version I made quite a few changes. I omitted the sleeves, shortened the length quite a bit, and added a frill around the entire wrap and hem. This pattern is really versatile and I see lots more possibilities for hacking.

Highly recommend it!
