Buy the Tea House Top and Dress sewing pattern from Sew House Seven. Easily worn for many different occasions, the Tea House can be modern or vintage-inspired depending on your choice of fabric.
This pattern features a V-neckline with front and back neck yokes, front seaming, in-seam angled pockets (for the dress version), a back neck box pleat, cuffed dolman short sleeves and two different tie options. Versions A, B and C feature wide in-seam front or back ties. Versions D, E and F feature a thin waist tie threaded through a back tunnel and tied in front or back. There are three length options: Versions A and D are hip length tops, versions B and E are above-the-knee length dresses, and versions C and F are tea length dresses. There are no closures to sew – just slip it on and tie!

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces are divided across two A0 sheets. The sheets will need to be joined at the markings.

Versions A, B and C: Lightweight fabrics such as rayon challis, wool challis, silk charmeuse, cotton voile, linen.
Versions D, E and F: Lightweight fabrics such as cotton lawn, cotton voile, linen, chambray, cotton madras, cotton yarn dye.
Fabric requirements: Allow extra fabric if matching stripes or plaids or using border prints.
Top A and D: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 2 5/8 – 4 yd (2.4 – 3.7 m) // 58″-60″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 – 3 1/4 yd (2.25 – 3 m).
Dress B and E: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 4 3/8 – 5 yd (4 – 4.6 m) // 58″-60″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/8 – 3 7/8 yd (2.9 – 3.5 m).
Dress C and F: 44″ (112 cm) wide fabric: 4 5/8 – 5 3/8 yd (4.2 – 4.9 m) // 58″-60″ (147 cm) wide fabric: 3 1/2 – 4 yd (3.2 – 3.7 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 20 (approx. UK 6 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
