Sorbetto Top & Tunic

I finally got around to making the popular free pattern from Colette Patterns. This is a very easy and quick make with clear instructions. I made V.1 size 0 (I am 5’1″, a size 8 and a 32D) with no adjustments to the pattern. The fabric I used was a remnant from a fabric shop in Italy and I think it is either a cotton voile or cotton lawn. I chose navy bias binding to finish the neck and arm sleeves and left this visible as I felt it added a nice contrast to the fabric. This version hit mid hip on me.

I would definitely make this again in a more drapey fabric but with one alteration which would be to lift the apex of the bust darts by 3/4 “.

Overall an easy pattern to add a staple to your wardrobe.
