Simplicity Dress 2444

Simplicity 2444 is my all time favourite dress pattern. It is so versatile and I think it looks great on many different body types. This dress has many options (like all Simplicity’s Project runway patterns). I made this time the most simple version which has no sleeves or collar.

I think this dress is at its best made out of fabrics with some structure. I used cotton sateen this time and it worked well. I lined the bodice with cotton batiste and used that same fabric also for in seam pockets.

I made no alterations to the pattern since I knew it is a good fit for me. It took me one day to sew this dress. However, I always like to finish these kinds of hems by hand so that took me some time.

I highly recommend this pattern to anyone looking for a versatile and classic dress pattern.
