Romero Trousers review

A review of Pauline Alice Romero Trousers and Shorts

These sailor shorts are so much fun to make! It took me two days to finish, mainly because I hand-sewed the buttons on. There are ten of them! I love the construction of these shorts, they’re also so comfy. I didn’t make any changes to the pattern, other than adding back pockets and sewing the side seams at 1cm SA to fit my waist and hips – my measurements fall in between two sizes and I went with the smaller size.
The shorts version is a nice stash-buster, I used less than 80cm of the main fabric that’s only 110cm wide, and I used lining fabric for the pocket bag as well as the inner waistbands.
There’s an error on step 2 (the English version) where the instruction tells you to stitch the pocket and pocket facing with right sides together. What it actually meant was right sides UP. The illustration was correct though.
