New Look Jumpsuit and Dress 6468

I made View D (dress version) with addition of View C’s sleeves and I omitted the chest pockets. The fabric I used is Atelier Brunette’s Bye Bye Birdie cotton cambric in gold. I made a few more small changes to the pattern, such as shortening the skirt, bodice, and I also added back yoke to the bodice due to my mistake in cutting the fabric. The pattern is not difficult at all, I think it would be suitable for beginners. The illustrations and instructions are clear enough. I used french seam technique to finish all the seams, including the in-seam pockets, except for the sleeve-bodice seams. If you don’t like buttonholes, you’d be happy with this pattern as the front closure uses fabric loops, I love this detail. There are a few things I’d like to change if I make another one; I’d raise the neckline a bit, and I’d probably use fabric with more drape to it like viscose or crepe. All in all I am happy enough with this pattern. I have written a more detailed review of this pattern on my blog, you can check it out here:
