Buy the Marguerite Dress sewing pattern from Sew Over It. The Marguerite Dress is the quintessential everyday dress. Feminine yet comfy, Marguerite is the dress you’ll want to live in all summer. Marguerite features a semi-fitted bodice, with bust darts and pretty gathering into the waistband. The gathering is mirrored on the knee-length skirt, which features cleverly constructed in-seam pockets. The sleeves are grown-on and are finished with unique tapering cuffs. The dress has a pretty slit detail in the centre back, and closes with both an invisible zip and hook and eye. The neckline is finished with a facing.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight woven fabrics like cotton lawn, cotton voile, chambray, seersucker, swiss dot, or drapier options such as georgette, lightweight crepe and rayon.

Fabric requirements:

Sizes 6 – 20

1.15 m wide fabric: 2.75 – 3.3 m // 1.40 m wide fabric: 2.4 – 2.8 m.

Sizes 18 – 30

1.40 m wide fabric: 3.5 – 3.8 m.

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6 – 20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18 – 30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 0.25 m (sizes 6-20) or 0.3 m (sizes 18-30) of lightweight interfacing; 16″ invisible zip; a small hook and eye.
