Florence Kimono

Reviewed by sewslowsarah on 19th October, 2018

Shortly before going away I realised I really needed a little light jacket in case it was chilly at night. With little time, I opted for a kimono, and used the Fold Line pattern database to narrow down which pattern to use. I loved the different length options, and the styling of the pattern.

It’s so easy to sew up, even with french seams built into the pattern. I used a Nani Iro double gauze from my stash and I’m really pleased with the result. I have found it a little difficult to pair with other garments as it is quite an abstract print, and most of my other clothes are prints too – I really should sew up come solids….

Anyway, highly recommend this pattern – I’ll certainly be making more in different lengths (and in solid colours), and I’ve even had my Mum request one – the first time she’s asked for a hand sewn item from me!
