Children’s Freddie Dungarees & Dress

Matching dungarees for my nephew and niece. This is a lovely little pattern, with lots of satisfying details such as bagged-out pockets and plackets made out of contrasting lining. I went for a seventies vibe with knee patches, contrasting top-stitching, and some (rather expensive) Scandi-style print for the lining. There are lots of steps and some of it is quite fiddly. You need to have some experience because quite a lot is missed out of the instructions – they don’t hold your hand very much, so I’d say it’s a pattern for confident beginners or intermediate sewists. But it comes together very nicely and they were a pleasure to make.
