Buy the Charleston Dress sewing pattern from Hey June Handmade. The Charleston Dress is a fitted knit dress perfect for dressing up or down. Make a casual floral version with the ruffle sleeve or a classic little black dress with stretch faux leather panelling. Seven sleeve length options make this dress work appropriate and suitable for four season wear. View A features a casual A-line skirt with deep scooped pockets and front pleats. View B has a slimmer silhouette with no pockets or pleats. Both views have an optional semi-exposed zipper at the back.

Suggested fabrics: Heavier weight stable knits with at least 30% stretch such as cotton/spandex, double knit, ponte, interlock, and liverpool knit.

Fabric requirements: 55″ (140 cm) or wider fabric: View A (sleeveless, ruffle, square, short, or elbow length sleeves), 2 yd (1.8 m) // View B (sleeveless, ruffle, or square sleeves), 1 3/4 yd (1.6 m) // Views A and B (3/4 or long sleeves), 2 1/4 yd (2.1 m) // Allow extra fabric for pattern matching.

Sizing: XS – 3X (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 1.5″ x 19″ strip of lightweight non-stretch fusible interfacing; 18″ zipper // Optional: Washaway hem tape or glue stick; clear 3/8″ elastic.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (52 pages); 36″ wide copy shop pattern (1 sheet); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
