Burda Style Dresses 6536

Made this dress for a wedding in Greece, the fabric was gorgeous pink and gold brocade and I lined the bodice with pink silk and also added a baby pink net underskirt. Instructions were good, I made a toile first as was more complicated than anything else I’d done, but the steps were clear. I made mistake of using carbon paper for marking and as the fabric didn’t have a very different front and back, there were some marks on th right side. I had to alter the length of the bodice as am a petite fit also it would have meant that my bust would be on full display. I loved making it and even better loved wearing it. I’ve learned a lot more since making this and will definitely make another learning from my errors. The fit is lovely. I’d like to make it out of something less stiff for summer in the UK.
