We’ve just added Maison Fauve’s stunning new collection to the shop – introducing the Empire State of Fauve! The collection comprises five elegant designs that have a sharp yet relaxed feel to them and can be worn together as a capsule. They can be worn for work or styled with trainers for a sportswear feel.
You can expect lots of Maison Fauve’s signature details that make their patterns so chic!

We’ve just had a delivery from The Assembly Line with THREE new-to-us designs! We are particularly taken by the cropped jacket. Imagine it in a jumbo cord for maximum 70s vibes!
The TAL Cropped Jacket has raglan sleeves and a wide waistband. It features a zipper opening in front and an optional collar.
The TAL Culottes are high-waisted and wide-legged with box pleats in the front and back, which gives the finished cropped trousers a flat front and back. Oh, and they have pockets!
The TAL Regular Trousers have a high waist and straight, full-length legs AND side slant pockets. It’s a super adjustable pattern, with instructions to raise or lower the rise, change the waist width, adjust the allowance mid-front, and alter the length

Cosy nights in are just about to get cosier! The Modern Sewing Co. Sunday Trackies were designed for days when you want that extra level of comfort. They are high-waisted with an elasticated waistband and a drawstring. The legs are full-length, neither wide nor skinny, and feature ankle cuffs to give an optional turn-up a bit more style. There are also curved back patch pockets for your essentials. This design is unfussy and roomy in fit – perfect for comfy Sundays on the sofa.
I really love them and would love to recreate the full cosy set with the matching Rib Sweater pattern… maybe in this exact colour combination! When it’s good it’s worth repeating, right?!

We are excited to be stocking one of our favourite sewing tools – soon to be your new best friend… the RockingStitch Seamstress Gauge! This handy tool is engraved with markings so you can easily measure and mark your sewing projects. You’ll keep it near your sewing machine and ironing board at all times! There are a few ways the gauge can assist you in your sewing:
- Quickly measure when you’re pressing up hems, adding seam allowance, or measuring seams or other small bits.
- Make markings such as buttonholes, darts, pleats, tucks, etc.
- Find the right seam guide lines on your machine or create a new seam guideline with some tape or a magnetic seam guide.
- Draw parallel lines when you need to lengthen or shorten your pattern or add seam allowances.

If you have a pooch you like to sew for, the Merchant and Mills Barka Dog Coat is a great, simple design that can be made with lining or bound edges. If you’re in the Southern hemisphere, off on a winter sun holiday, or simply like to get ahead of your spring/summer sewing, this dreamy dress is worth a look. With its simple construction, maximising volume and texture, the Pattern Fantastique Ether Dress will make you feel like you are from another world.
The structure is anchored by a rope that ties off at the centre front split. The rope crosses at the centre back into a loop radiating gathers. The loop detail lowers the centre back volume for an elegant silhouette. The pattern includes two views, one with sleeves and one without. And yes, it has pockets!
