Sew Reporter – 26 May

Happy Sunday we hope you’re enjoying the long weekend and up to something creative. On the blog we we’ve got a sewing sewing pattern tutorial where I chat through pattern markings and how to read them. There’s also a handy downloadable! It’s no time to sit down and enjoy this weeks dose of inspiration.

Helen from Helen’s Closet made the most tiger-tastic shirtdress we’ve ever seen! The pattern is the Reeta Shirtdress by Named and she’s made a sleeveless version without the drawstring in the waist to show off her fabulous pattern matching!

Isn’t this just the perfect dress to wear on your honeymoon! Amy of Almond Rock went to the fabulous Seychelles and stitched the Simplicity 1606 for herself to swoosh around in at the beach. We’re not jealous at all Amy…

Imagine rocking up to a picnic dressed like this! This awesome sequin strawberry skirt is made by Tabitha of Tabitha Sewer and she drafted the pattern herself.

Allie of Allie Jackson is looking rather gorgeous in her Simplicity 4475 dress. She made several dresses using this pattern but this sweet floral one might be our favourite!

Elena of Randomly Happy added a new wardrobe staple top to her me-made wardrobe! She used the Assembly Line Cuff Top pattern and we love the blue fabric she picked for it. Also, those sleeves are really cool!

This is the Vogue pattern V9075 that we’ve seen popping up quite a lot. We love how versatile this pattern is and how different each version looks. Alice from The Polka Dot Palace used a flowery cotton lawn for her jumpsuit and we could not LOVE it more!

Can you believe that this amazing cover-up used to be a maxi skirt? Talking about a transformation challenge! Rumana of The Little Pomegranate has done a fabulous re-fashion job on this!

Sue @susanyoungsewing has found the perfect backdrop to show off her French Dart Shift Tunic by Maven Patterns! What a beautiful dress and that fabric is stunning!

Rebecka @beckymarkus made the Sew Liberated Hinterland dress in the most divine Rifle Paper Co fabric and we’re sure you agree with us that she looks beautiful!
