February has had loads of new sewing patterns to keep us all inspired! We have brought you a bitesize roundup of all the new sewing pattern releases and we have got Fiona from Diary of a Chainstitcher blog who’s given us her top three picks for the month. Fiona has a great sewing blog where she showcases her makes with really useful and detailed reviews of each pattern. She has kindly given us her top three releases for February and why she likes the patterns so much.
We have also made a video where Kate chats through some of our favourite new pattern releases from February.
Fiona’s top three dressmaking pattern releases for February:
“The new Zadie Dress from Tilly and the Buttons appears to be quite the stand out favourite on social media in February. It combines the comfort of a knit dress with interesting style lines and colour blocking opportunities aplenty. The pockets set in to the z shape seam lines are a lovely touch.”
“Orageuse released a collection of three new patterns (and free downloadable instructions to create a fourth!) this month. While the Berlin Skirt was my initial favourite on closer inspection the details of the Riga Coat have got me hooked. I particularly like the super wide belt loop at the rear.”
“For me Wear Lemonade have again nailed that balance between timeless femininity and a modern feel with their new Ada Skirt. I love those deep pockets set into the side panels while the shape and tie at the waist give a nod to classy mid century styles.”
