I wanted to sew the Orla for ages and it didn’t disappoint. Its a very flattering shape and I just love that collar! The instructions as always are quite clear and the make I found straightforward. I find it will be a very flexible pattern- its a great shape so you could lengthen to a dress, make sleeveless, add different collars…. For this one I used a lovely Liberty print and used a denim to give it a bit of edge – for the collar, a denim zip (john lewis has them) and cuff. I m really happy how it turned out. Only issue I had with the pattern was with the zip- the markings didn’t work for my zip (even though the zip was supposed to be the size specified. So I got imaginative with that denim triangle at the bottom of the zip to patch up where it was cut too long- so lesson here is measure your actual zip & cut it to that, not just to the pattern.
