Mimosa Jacket – I Am Patterns

I fell in love with this pattern right away when I first saw it. It seemed like the perfect layering piece for our northern climate. And I was not disappointed.

I am Patterns’ Mimosa is a simple cape with nice welt pockets. I used medium weight wool which was easy to sew. This was a quick make. Welt pockets took some time since they are not my strongest area but otherwise the cape was very easy to sew.

I would recommend this pattern to everyone looking for an easy and rewarding winter sewing project. If you are a beginner sewist, you can leave out the pockets, which makes this project even quicker and easier.
