Kew Dress – Nina Lee

A review of Nina Lee Kew Dress and Skirt

This was such a surprisingly quick and fun sew! I used a black needle cord to make it into a fall/ winter version and it worked really well. I used rose gold snap fasteners instead of buttons and I really love how quick and easy they are to use. I’ve made a size 10 and added 3 cm to the length of the bodice and the waistline now sits exactly where it needs to be. For the facing I’ve used some Riffle Paper cotton that I had left in my stash and I also faced the straps to make it look pretty on the inside. I used the same flowery fabric for the pockets which I added to the dress. The instructions and especially the drawings that accompany the instructions are really clear and easy to follow. If you haven’t made it yet I would recommend using this pattern, and keep in mind it’s not just a summer dress!
