Buy the Flatiron Coat and Jacket sewing pattern from The Sewing Workshop. The long, loose-fitting coat has dropped shoulders, full sleeves, side vents, draped lapels and a three-snap closure. The mid-length jacket has dropped shoulders, tapered sleeves, side vents, draped lapels and asymmetric hems. Overlapping and conventional seam techniques are included. Wrong side of fabric shows.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: No-fray fabrics in wool or blends. Mid-weight knits, sweater knits, boucle, novelty weaves. Mid-weight wovens in wool, linen, cotton, rayon, blends.

Coat:

45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 3 3/4 yd (3.4 m) // L-XXL, 3 7/8 yd (3.5 m).

60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 2 2/3 yd (2.4 m) // L-XXL, 3 1/3 yd (3 m).

Jacket:

45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 2 7/8 yd (2.6 m) // L-XXL, 3 yd (2.7 m).

60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: XS-M, 2 1/8 yd (2 m) // L-XXL, 2 1/4 yd (2.1 m).

Sizing: XS – XXL (approx. UK 6 – 18/20). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread // Coat: Three 1 1/8″ sew-on snaps.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; print-at-home pattern; 36″ wide copy shop pattern; A0 copy shop pattern.
